License Server over Proxy

Is it possible to join a Splunk license server through proxies?

I found this but I don't know if it applies to this context:

@cedricamouyal - You are in the right direction, use that document to configure the proxy in server.conf and Splunk will use that proxy for every request originated by Splunk including license.
