Hi,
Having just downloaded Splunk Light for exploration, I was wondering if REST API access is available to this Splunk product. I see the documentation I have come across so far refers to Splunk Enterprise - but does this mean it is not available in Splunk Light?

API access is not included:

Thanks for your response.

Feel free to download Splunk Enterprise and explore that. It also have a free limited license so you can keep it around to play with once the trial expires.
Thanks for this update. I asked this question because I would like to explore how Splunk could be used as a 'Channel' in my product Ritc (ritc.io). Essentially, conditions ('triggers') and actions in Ritc rules make REST API requests to defined endpoints ('channels') in order to determine if a rule should fire. Ritc also has the ability to consume Swagger files - which define REST APIs - and I would be interested if such a file has been created for Splunk. This is not a necessity - it is just a curiosity at this point.

Sounds like you have your answer though? I ask because I noticed you didn't mark @jdonn's post as an accepted answer. So just checking if something was still unclear.
Thanks for the heads-up. I accepted his answer.
