How to recover password through configuration?

Hi,

i want to recover my web page password though configuration but in this case i lost my passwd file in ETC folder so, is there any possible to resolve it?

Can you provide more detail about the problem, please?

If you lost the $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/passwd file then you're best option is to restore it from your last backup.
