How to generate a certificate for encryption OKTA-Splunk by SAML?

Hi Community !

Actually , im doing the Okta-Splunk enterprise integration , i´ve studied the documentation about this, but i have a question for the creation of certificate to encrypt the comunication between Okta-Splunk , is that possible? which is the certificate type needed for this
