How can I identify splunk forwarders?

I am trying to find a way to get a count of forwarders that are providing logs to my splunk environment. I am new to splunk and do not have a deep knowledge base but learning. Any help would be appreciated

Use the Deployment Monitor app and you'll find a dashboard with details that should help. You may just need to enable it in your current deployment. Go to Manager -> Apps and see if it's already in your list. Enable and restart. Otherwise download it from Splunkbase.
