does any one have any idea, weather splunk use any of the following Apache tomcat or Apache struts
if it uses what is the purpose?

By default, Splunk's web server is CherryPy.
http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/7.0.1/ReleaseNotes/CherryPy

Splunk is not packaged with Apache tomcat or Apache struts.

I've seen vulnerability scans report an Apache Struts vulnerability against Splunk, but left didn't get an explanation as to how that finding was determined.
