Does smartstore consume ingestion volume license

I want to offload some logs into MinIO using smartstore to reduce volume consumption in license, but I cannot find reference if smartstore will still count against the license volume

SmartStore has no effect on your license.  License use is determined by the amount of data written to disk, regardless of the storage method used.
