splunkd.pid file is completely missing from cd /opt/splunkforwarder/var/run/splunk path, kindly suggest how can this be reoslved.

The absence of the splunkd.pid file in the /opt/splunkforwarder/var/run/splunk directory can indeed cause issues with Splunk startup.
