Why am I getting error "/opt/bin/splunk was not found." trying to set up the Splunk Web Framework?

Hi,

I trying to set up for the first time the Web Framework in /opt/splunketc/apps/framework/ with the command : ./splunkdj setup,
but I get the following error:

/opt/bin/splunk was not found. Please check your SPLUNK_HOME path and try again.

How could I possibly resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Skender

Ok, first I did ls -la to see all files.
Remove the .splunkhome file and then run ./splunkdj setup again.
This will again create the file .splunkhome.
When asked where Splunk is installed, set /opt/splunk and it should be ok (Debian OS).

Hope it helps for anybody else,
Skender K.
