Wanted to understand if we can use splunk to analyze the data from a service request tool. The dump would contain ticket id, open date, closed date, severity etc

Splunk will give that type of analysis if the data contains enough details.

It is a tool that gives out an csv dump. I wanted to analyse the dump with respect to how many tickets were raised, how many closed, time take to close the tickets, SLA met etc

Is it a database that can be connected to Splunk with DB Connect?
Does it generate a log that contains data you can use?
Generally speaking Splunk can analyse any data.
