Is there a resource that explains how the system of awarding Karma points works on Splunk Answers?

Hello. Are there any resources that explain how the system of awarding Karma points works?

It's not really relevant to anything, but I can't stop wondering about it everytime I look at my score

HI @_dave_b

This page from documentation is the most up to date version on how the Karma system works on Splunk Answers:
http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunkbase/latest/Answers/HowtoearnKarma

It covers how you earn points, lose points, and what privileges you earn as your levels increase.

From looking at your karma history, I've noticed you've only been awarding points to users for helping you with your questions, but this is giving away your own available karma points, so you aren't earning the Karma rewards listed on that page I shared. I highly recommend simply upvoting posts by users that have helped you out as this will award them 15 karma points without you losing any of your own. To do this, click on the up arrow on the left side of answers, or clicking on the up arrow that appears when hovering over comments.

Do note that the karma table at that link has many inaccuracies but probably everything that you care about is correct.
