Build a Splunk app

Hi,

I'm new to Splunk and I'm trying to build a dashboard app.
I have installed Splunk and Java sdk and managed to perform search and get the results to my console.
What is the next step? How do I construct a chart out of the data and display it?

You can read about how to create an App here. Afterwards I would suggest to read the docs about create and edit dashboards. There you find everything to get you started with your own dashboard.
