Splunk Cloud Free Trial instance Login Issue

Hi,

I have tried logging to the  splunk free trial instance by using default credentials (Username: admin) and also  with my splunk account credentials.But always getting the "Invalid username/password" error.

Could you please help me to fix this?

I am facing similar issue. I using free trial of cloud version, when click on start-trial,  navigates to

You have a Splunk Cloud Trial already!

onclick on View My Customer Portal. lands to 404 page.

Hi

The easiest way:

  • uninstall it
  • remove all files 
  • install it again and ensure which user and password you will give 

Another way:

  • splunk stop
  • create $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local/user-seed.conf with content

 

[user_info]
USERNAME = admin
PASSWORD = TheNewPassword123

 

  • splunk start
