cassandra monitoring using Appd

Hi Guys ,
Need your experince and advice for "monitoring cassandra with Appdynamics"
I tried to monitor cassandra database by
1 installing the machine agent with extension for cassandra and
2 JMX monitoring using appd java agent .
I am unable to monitor number of nodes ,total writes/sec....all those metrics .
I can just see some metrics using mbean .
Is there any diffrent way to monitor cassandra cluster ? .Moreover cassandra was not there in the database list .
Thanks
Ashok

Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for posting your query on AppDynamics Community.
As of v4.5.4, AppDynamics does not support monitoring Cassandra. Please refer to the Database Visibility Supported Environments for more information on the list of supported databases.
Hope it helps.

Hi @Anonymous
You can definitely monitor by using the extension but not from the core AppDynamics offering.

So what about this https://www.appdynamics.com/database/cassandra/
Seems you guys advertise a pretty tight integration w/ Cassandra, so is this done w/ the extension or something else ?

Utilizing the java agent, Cassandra server startup can be modified to call the appd java agent
