Query regarding Async thread support

Hi Team,

I have a .Net application that has N number of threads, I am using Appdynamics .Net Profiler for validating the threads measures by enabling the thread correlation.

While observing the data in the controller, I have a doubt here that how the thread samples have been collected.

Is it through instrumentation or through sampling technique?

@Ryan.Paredez

Could you please let me know about this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @sharleen.sonny,

I found this AppD Knowledge base article: Async Thread Detection Life Cycle,

Check it out and let me know if it provides any help.

Hi @Ryan.Paredez ,

My application has an infinite thread, How do we get the execution time of an infinite thread?

I think it's not possible using instrumentation and also I have confirmed with appdynamics bussinesstrans.log that I didn't find any functions related to my application threads.

Are we using the sampling technique here, if Yes, How we are getting data for infinite threads?
