Page not found : 404

Hi,

I'm new to AppD. I'm getting lots of 404 errors in App Server. Surprising that doesn't correlate with business transactions. How do I know which URL/Txn failed due to this?

Thanks

Hello JJ
Can you try if you are getting anything under -
From main app Page -> events tab -> click filter drop down and select 'errors'

See if you get more details for error captured.

Please make a note that not necessarily every trxn will have 404 error. If there's any server level issue at index level, it will throw like this only.

Let us know.

Regards,
VVS

@Vaibhav Vir.Singh Thanks. Tried as you suggested but still I can't find any 404 errors.

Hi @JJ.Jena,

I did some digging around and found this info.

1. Navigate to errors -> error transactions -> filter -> add criteria -> errors -> select "Page Not Found : 404 Errors" and say apply.
2. It will show all the snapshots where 404 errors are reported. Open any one of the snapshot and navigate further.

Do let me know if that helps you dig further into the errors.

Hi @JJ.Jena,

Thanks for trying that. As you mentioned you are new to using AppD, perhaps this Docs resource can be of some help. https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Errors+and+Exceptions#ErrorsandExceptions-ErrorandExcepti...
