I am trying to create a custom metric on the database. i have selected the database but when I add a query it gives me the ORA-00942: table or view does not exist error

The query returns just one value when it is run against the database.

Can you advise why this error is being thrown?

Hi @Basit.Amjad,

I found an existing post where someone had the same error. It's a few years old now, bt might help - https://community.appdynamics.com/t5/Java-Java-Agent-Installation-JVM/DB-Collector-error-ORA-00942-t...

That post links to an AppD Docs page; here is a more recent version of that same Doc https://docs.appdynamics.com/appd/22.x/latest/en/database-visibility/add-database-collectors/configu...

Please let me know if it helps.
