Machine Agent HTTP Listener Not Registering New Metrics

Fernando_Piccoz

Hi,

I am trying to send metrics to the controller using Machine Agent HTTP Listener but the agent is discarding the metrics since it is unregistered. Do I have to register it manually?

$URL = "http://localhost:9999"
$Endpoint = "/api/v1/metrics"
$URLFull = "$URL$Endpoint"
$JSON = ConvertTo-Json @(@{"metricName"="Custom Metrics|DFSR Backlog" + "|CommonData|" + $thishost;"aggregatorType"="OBSERVATION";"value"=$backlog_count})
Write-Output $JSON
$JSONHeaders = @{
"Content-Type"="application/json"
"Media-Type"="application/json"
"Accept"="application/json"}

$SendMetric = Invoke-RestMethod -Method Post -Uri $URLFull -Headers $JSONHeaders -Body $JSON

This is the JSON that is being passed:

[
{
"aggregatorType": "OBSERVATION",
"metricName": "Custom Metrics|DFSR Backlog|CommonData|SERVER1",
"value": -1
}
]
