JBOSS server monitoring

Hi,

We tried configuring the AppDynamics javaagent for our JBOSS server by following the documentation - https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO44/JBoss+and+Wildfly+Startup+Settings. At the end application restart fails and there are no javaagent logs generated. We tried running the run.bat file manually, even this doesn't work. Can you help us on this..

Thanks,

Lashika

Hi Lashika,
Could you help us identify with the following items to get to the root cause of the issue:
1. What is the type of JBoss - Enterprise or Standalone?
2. Ensure the process owner who is initiating JBoss process has complete access Java Agent folders recursively
3. Provide us with the generated JBoss errors/logs.

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Megha

Hi @Mohammed.Inthiyaz,

Can you answer a few questions for me.

  • What is the error that the customer is getting on startup?
  • Steps on how they are configuring the app server with the Java Agent and the server logs?
