How long does AppD take to perform Garbage Collection analysis

Hi Team,

I am trying to find out a bit more about the garbage collection feature sets of AppD. AppD performs Major and Minor Garbage collection cycles.

My question is around how long it takes AppD to figure out what are the time periods for major and minor collection cycles?

Greatly appreciate your help.

Regards

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

To clarify, the AppD agent monitors the Garbage Collection metrics and reports the results in the "Memory" dashboard. The agent does not trigger major or minor garbage collections. The JVM will do this automatically, influenced by the memory-related configuration parameters specified at JVM startup. The agent will passively collect and report metrics that expose the behavior of the JVM.
