Can't see the "Create Events" permission

Hey All,

I'm attempting to grant a role the "Create Events" permission at the application level (per https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Application+Permissions via https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Alert+and+Respond+API#AlertandRespondAPI-CreateEvents), but the permission isn't showing up for me. I've tried looking for it at the application level and at the general level, in both cases I don't have that option (screenshot attached). I've tried in multiple browsers, and I'm an admin on the server. What am I missing? Thanks,

Hi,

What is the controller version you are using? 'Create Events' permission is introduced in 4.5 V. Controller version lesser than 4.5 need Administrator or Account Owner role to create custom events.

https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO44/Alert+and+Respond+API#AlertandRespondAPI-CreateEvents

Thanks,
Yogesh

Hey Yogesh,

Thanks for the response. We're using the SaaS offering, but it appears we're on 4.4.3. This clears it up. For now the workaround is either granting admin or account owner privs. Much appreciated!
