Appdynamics Machine Agents not associated with an Application

Hi Team,

It seems many of the Machine Agents (around 200) are not associated with any applications. What action we need to to do for this and why machine agents are not mapped with application ? FYI -We are doing end to end monitoring by AppDynamics.

Thanks!

adding appname in machine agent configuration file never work.

we need to add below parameter in Application startup file (for java agent)

-Dappdynamics.agent.uniqueHostId=<unique_Host_Name>

once you add above line...restart the application/jvm and then restart the machine agent once. I will works for sure

If they are intended to be Stand-Alone Machine Agent, insert a line in the Controller-Info.xml :

<application name> {TypeAppNameHereAsSeeninAppDController} </application Name>

Restart Machine Agent service.
