Hi Robert,

I did some asking around for you and there is some info on our EULA that explains how this works. Info posted below.

The short answer is: The end of support for 4.5 will be one year after the next major release goes out. Example, when a release that goes out that is 4.6, 4.7, etc.

"MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT POLICY:
The Maintenance and Support policy is as follows:
AppDynamics provides Maintenance and Support for each version of the Software for a period of twelve (12) months after the
generally available release of the next major version of the Software (a major release is a change in the first number to the
right of the decimal point). For example, if version 4.1 is released on January 1, 2015, then AppDynamics will provide
Maintenance and Support for version 4.0 until January 1, 2016. AppDynamics does not provide Maintenance or Support for
any customized software (or components thereof)."

Hi @Stéphane.PAPIN,

The EULA is the best place for this information. It is not different for different parts of the product.

I don't think they do, but they have a table up for which versions of agents work with which versions of the Controller here: https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Agent+and+Controller+Compatibility

Since he announced the EOL is generally 1 year after the next major release, you can maybe extrapolate out how long you need before you'll have to do a major Console/Controller upgrade or agent upgrades.
