Why is Splunk site not opening?

Hi Team,

This is Saurabh Dagar and I am working on Offshore company,

on there, we have splunk server and we are trying to run splunk site but it is not opening.

and the splunkd service is not getting restart, it is showing "the splunkd service is not in use and no one is using this service for long time"

So my question is can how can we be able to start the service. thanks

your question is just a little vague: could you more detail addisong some information as:

• Operative system;
• Splunk version;
• architecture:
  • Stand Alone
  • distributed,
  • clustered;
• errors;
• user used to run Splunk;
• all the thing that you think could help us to understand the situation.
