Why is Splunk Web access with self-signed certificate displaying error "NET:ERR_CERT_INVALID"?

We have followed all the instructions at http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.6.1/Security/Self-signcertificatesforSplunkWeb. But when we try and connect using Chrome to https://localhost:8000 we are getting a NET:ERR_CERT_INVALID error. See screen shot. alt text

Hi @simpkins1958,

Did you sort this out by any chance? I’m having the same problem. I added the self-signed Splunk datahub certificate in cacerts but when I connect to the URL it gives me your same error.

Hope you/someone can help!

Thanks,
SA
