Unable to login to splunk enterprise with default password?

Hi,

I have downloaded splunk enterprise freeware for windows. the installation was fine.
Unable to login to splunk with default password of admin / changeme. it says:
"Your license is expired. Please login as an administrator to update the license."

Please let me know how do login as admin or change password.

If you are unable to remember the password for the admin user, you could try moving the passwd file out of the way and restart the Splunk service to have it reset back to the default.

It should be under:

$SPLUNK_HOME\etc\passwd

You can also replace your license file @ C:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\licenses\enterprise with the new .license file you have just received from Splunk.  

Restart Splunkd
