Splunk web restriction

Hello Splunkers,

Is there a way to restrict web-ui access ? Users shoud not be able to view any options/menus to choose from.

The dashboard links are shared with users and they should only be able to load the dashboard without any search capablities ( dashload loading will trigger searches but no manual search from panels  - normally we see search icon at the bottom right corner of the panel)

Hi @garumuga,

yes, it's possible, you have to disable the access to Open in Search buttons of each panel.

To do this yu have to insert in each panel of your dashboard

<option name=”link.visible”>false</option>

Ciao.

The option disbles the search icon and i verified it is working and it is partly solves the problem.

How about disbaling UI access  to users?

Hi @garumuga,

what do you mean with UI access?

You can disable access to a dashboard managing the grants on the dashboards, in other words, you have to design with much attention your groups and assign to each group the correct roles so that each group can see only the enabled dashboards.

Ciao.
