Splunk service opening error by domain admin account

Hello,
I have a domain admin account created on Windows 2000, and added that domain admin user into local administrators group on windows 2008 R2 ( in the same domain). The result is i couldn't install Splunk by using that account. When i started Splunk service, i got a problem: access is denied although i had added domain user to all of possible local group. Do you know how to show that problem ?

Second, i want connect and obtain data by using WMI in Windows 2000, how to archieve that goal ? I read in Splunk website as : it 's having to add domain user to local administrator group of each machine (wins 2000) . But if i have a lot number of machines, how can i configure just one time and that user could do all works in all of those machine , without laborious configuration work ?

You should upgrade to Windows 2003 or higher. Since Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 2000. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/lifecycle
