SSL Certificate invalid: How to send data from salesforce to Splunk using Http POST method?

I am trying to send data from salesforce to Splunk using Http POST method but am getting error saying invalid certificate , tried to add certificate manually but unable to do so. Is there any problem with the certificates or how can it be fixed.
