Is there a shortcut key to go directly to the search box in splunk web search app?

Not really but this is close: if you set your default/landing app in your user configuration to be the search app, any time you click on the "splunk>" logo in the top left corner, you will go to the search app and the focus will automatically be placed on the search bar. Other than that, most browsers have shortcuts to move the focus so just use a search-engine with this text:

<my browser> shortcut key to move focus to field
