How to change port on Solaris 9 forwarder

We are in the process of standing up a test splunk network to prove it's value to management. We have the server running and installed forwarders on a Solaris 9 (sparc), Windows server 2k8/2k3, and plan to install it on a Linux red hat box.

We wanted to change the default port on the splunk forwarder on the Solaris 9 box but are at a loss as to how to complete such a task. Any input is greatly appreciated.

PS - First post here! Loving splunk!!!

Have you try that?

# splunk set web-port 9000

This command sets the Splunk Web port to 9000.

# splunk set splunkd-port 9089

This command sets the splunkd port to 9089.
