How do you restrict a user role to one App only?

Hi, using splunk 6.5.2.

I have a new user role, and I have set up an App for this role specifically and a default menu which takes them to this app. I need to prevent these users from being able to navigate to the "search and reporting" app, but when I remove permissions to this, they receive an error on their existing dashboards. Also, even though I have given them the capability to change their own password, they receive a permissions error when trying to use account settings.

Thanks in advance.

You have to create a role and give permission to only your APP which one you want to restrict and assign the user to that role. If the user has created some dashboards in another app earlier, you can move those objects to the new app so that user will still be able to access them

Thanks

Thanks, that seems to have done the trick in terms of the APP and not allowing Search and Reporting - I don't suppose you know why they cannot access their account settings to change their password?
