How do I make host tags viewable by everyone?

billbender

We use host tagging to denote both site and OS. I have applied host tags as both a power user and a admin and only I can see them. I understand that I can either go into Splunk>Manager>Tags as an admin and change permissions or edit the global tags.conf and add them there, just wondering if there is any other way to make them universally viewable?

Related question - going forward is there a way to create a host tag that is "automatically" viewable by everyone?

Thanks, Bill
