Hi,

I'm new to Splunk and maybe I didn't follow the instructions right from a post 2 years ago I'm trying to figure out how to reset my login credentials for the Enterprise Admin Console. Can someone possibly give me the correct updated solution?

Regards,

Hi

If you are the only one who is using that instance you could just remove your account from SPLUNK_HOME/etc/passwd and then follow this instructions https://community.splunk.com/t5/Security/How-to-Reset-the-Admin-password/m-p/10622 (7.1+ version) just replace admin with your own account name.
