Configure splunk user language

Simon

Hi All

I've read the documentation how to change the user language in the URL (http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/5.0/Admin/Userlanguageandlocale).
Is there a way to persist this change in a configuration file, maybe per role or user?

Thanks

As far as I know there is still no way to specify a default locale to fall back to. See this question and its answers: http://splunk-base.splunk.com/answers/10265/change-default-web-ui-locale
