I need to configure a directory in splunk where i will put csv files.
I need splunk to auto detect these csv files and load data from that file.
Please help to do the same.

you may want to look at: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.0.1/Data/Configureyourinputs

This will help you create an "input" where you can feed splunk all kinds of data.
