splunk schedule search

Hi,
i have same splunk version 4.3.3 installed on two different machines. On one machine, when loading the web interface, asks me to login and also i see 'scheduled search' option under the search app.
Whereas on the other machine, when i access via web interface, logs me in as admin automatically and also i don't see the 'scheduled search' option.
Is this license specific or common with the free license?

The free license does not have authentication or access controls, and no scheduled searches/alerting. See More about Splunk Free in the Admin Manual.
