hide "Search & Reporting" app for specific role

Hello,

I've created a specific app and role. Users who belongs to this role should only accessed to this app. I've set the permission to this app only. When users are authenticated they land directly to this dedicated app.

I'm trying to hide from user the app menu "Search & Reporting" but i'm not able to do without having a HTTP 404 error.

Is there a way to do it ?

Thank you

Hello harsmarvania57,

Thanks for your replies.

The default app for the user will be the one that have been created.

You can keep default app for user which you created but if you hide "Search & Reporting" app, many more functionality will not work as I already explained above.

Hi @jan_lukasz,

Can you please let us know, in your app what is default page ? Is it search page to run query ? If it's search page then you can't hide "Search & Reporting" page because search page serves from "Search & Reporting" app and if you will hide this app then user will get error in new app.

Additionally there are many more knowledge objects are present in "Search & Reporting' app (You can check All knowledge object in Settings -> All configurations and select "Search & Reporting" app in App context and tick the checkbox "Show only objects created in this app context"), these all knowledge objects will not work if you will hide "Search & Reporting" app.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Harshil
