Is it possible to update default.xml for an application without restarting Splunk? Thanks in advanced.

Does anyone know what the permissions are to run this? I get a forbidden response on our production install. I assume i need some extra permissions.

I'm sure you no longer need this answer but for anyone stumbling across this via Google like I did, admin permissions are needed to run this command.
