Splunk Education is excited to announce 2 Fast Start Programs...Foundation Fast Start and Search Expert Fast Start.
Foundation Fast Start program is the prerequisite to all Splunk courses and learning paths. The four titles in this program are self-paced, e-learning so you can start anytime and work at your own pace.
Next step is our Search Expert Fast Start program where you will learn to use different commands, build statistical reports, and manipulate data. The program consists of six instructor-led, hands-on, virtual courses delivered over 3 days. The first offerings launch on 4/11 in the US and 4/20 in UK time.

Splunkbase Apps
Did you see the recent update of the Splunk Add-On for Google Workspace 2.0? This add-on ingests valuable data for Google workspace administrators from services including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Workspace, and more. With this data, administrators will be better able to detect and quickly mitigate a wider set of potential attacks from phishing, malware distribution, suspicious user activities and user administration.

Splunk Security Essentials app updated recently to resolve 19 known issues in the app. Get started with Splunk for Security with Splunk Security Essentials (SSE). Explore security use cases and discover security content to start address threats and challenges.
The Github App for Splunk is a collection of out of the box dashboards and Splunk knowledge objects designed to give Github Admins and platform owners immediate visibility into Github. This update includes some quality of life enhancements, but the big changes are around GitHub Workflows.
The Splunk Common Information Model is a set of field names and tags which are expected to define the least common denominator of a domain of interest. It is implemented as documentation on the Splunk docs website and JSON data model files in this add-on. Use the CIM add-on when modeling data or building apps to ensure compatibility between apps, or to just take advantage of these data models to pivot and report.
