Couldn't complete HTTP request

How can i resolve this error  "Couldn't complete HTTP request: error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure". 

I keep getting this error on splunkforwarder when i run SPLUNK_HOME/splunk list monitor,  SPLUNK_HOME/splunk list inputstatus.
