Monitoring Splunk

bin/splunk exit codes

Hello,

I wrote a script to monitor Splunk Enterprise instances and email me if any of my functions return non-zero exit statuses. One of the functions captures the exit status of splunk status. Last night I got an email saying that the splunk status command exited with an exit code of 8.

Can anyone please help me identify any non-zero exit statuses so I may refine my monitor script? Thank you!
