Splunkd - which language?

In the 'Splunk Infrastructure Overview' course, it shows that Splunkd is written in C/C++.
Is it right?

Yes. Core Splunk is written in C/C++, afaik. Perhaps you could expand on your question? Why does this matter to you? What is your goal in learning this?

Thank you. It's part of the course and it seemed to me that it's written in Java.
