Splunkd daemon is not responding: ('The read operation timed out',) -- HELP

Hi, While running the query I am getting the following error :

Splunkd daemon is not responding: ('The read operation timed out',)

and also i am not getting all the data seen in my "Panel"
when I am generating the pdf I am not getting all the data in pdf format which are showing in the Dashboard panel

Please suggest what to do to solve this issue !!

What messages appear in the logs leading to the error? (any tracebacks?)

You need to check on the system that the splunkd service/process is running.

Windows: Check your services.msc for Splunkd : running.

*nix: ps -ef | grep splunkd

you can also just restart the service/process.

$SPLUNK_HOME/bin/splunk restart

This issue need to be better documented. Have you checked splunk logs?
