This error is encountered when i am trying to save a db connection. plz help.

Check the _internal index around the time of the error.

All that is showing me is the dbx.log, which is found in $SPLUNKHOME$/var/log/splunk/dbx.log. There is nothing useful in there for my issue.

if an app can't talk to the REST endpoints of its own server and there's no log explaining why, this is going to take a support ticket to unravel.
