Monitoring console

What is the requirement to enable monitoring console.
I have small test environment. Can i merge MC with CM role
And
I believe i have to forward all instances internal logs to indesers ?

Hi riqbal,

Splunk has server roles and that can be shared in same instances.Keep it in mind that sharing roles in single instance may lead to overhead but in your case it is small test environment.

All instance internal logs to Indexer layer is the best practice but it is not mandatory.If you do so then it is easy to maintain index for all instances rather login to each instance.
