how to start mongo db in splunk ?
I checked in logs that mongodb is down in one of our servers

I don't think Splunk exposes any controls on the KV store - other than status:

./splunk show kvstore-status

I'd start with the logs and see if there are any clues as to why it stopped, and then restart Splunk, which (if there are no problems) should start up the KV

yes.. I had no other option than restarting splunk service that brought up mongodb
