Is it possible to extract data from two data sets within the same data model in a single search?

Hello,

I currently have a data model with two data sets. One data set is based on an index while the other is based on a KV store, each with their own root search. What I'd like to do is extract data from both of the data sets in a single search without using append or join.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Andrew
