How can I find why my scheduled python job did nor execute. How can I check the status in LOGS.

I have some scheduled python jobs which run at particular time interval and push data to kv-store but sometimes it dont run. How can I check the logs to find out the reason. This location is not accessible for me: $SPLUNK_HOME/var/log/splunk/web_service.log.
Also no idea about scheduler.log
