same license on two splunk clusters

Hi,

we have a dev and prod cluster , both have different license masters. can we upload the same license file on both the clusters,

Or else, is it okay to add the dev indexers as slaves for the prod license master.

You should be able to use one license master to all your indexers , dev and prod. (provided connectivity is there)

so can we just change the server.conf of the dev indexers and point it to the prod license master ?

if you want to track the usage on each group you can create license groups on your license master:
